I've had the Minolta W.Rokkor 28mm/2.8 for a while now but only used it a few times. Mostly in bad weather and now I somehow subconsciously associate this lens with drab grey lifelessness and every time I hold it in my hands think of it as something of mediocre image quality and overall substandard photos. The truth is quite the opposite. It's a capable lens, sharp enough from wide open and handles most situations well. Here are a few samples from my last couple of walks: the closeups are at f/2.8 and close to MFD, the sunsets are three shot bracketed hdrs at f/5.6 (-3EV to +3EV).

Thanks. I have a very small Minolta manual lens collection, mostly of lesser, inexpensive ones (28/2.8, 45/2, 50/1.4, 135/3.5, 200/3.5), but they're all good.
