Spent my time shooting video and a fair bit of photos.
Here are a bunch of them,
All various settings, and I could not decide which edits I liked best in some cases, so I included different interpretations.

I think you are right. It is very strange but sometimes I simply forget to look beyond the aperture I start out with. I focus on the main part of the photo, easily forgetting the periphery.
It reminds me I forgot to upload another dove, with serious DOF to it.

If IIRC the Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 55 1.8.
