Hope this might be of interest to Konica bellows aficionados.
If anyone knows the location on-line of the entire bulletin, it would be great if you would post the URL!!
Meanwhile, page 1 at least talks about differences between the Konica standard bellows III and the Konica auto bellows, for whatever that is worth. |
The only difference between the two is that the lens head on the Auto bellows has a provision for a cable release. You need a double cable release, one of whose ends goes into the camera, the other into the bellows. The standard bellows is manual operation only.
The other thing to note is that these bellows are not of Konica manufacture. This exact bellows model was sold in the 1970s by Konica, Fujica, Soligor, etc. It is a third-party accessory. A more convenient bellows for Konica AR cameras is the bellows manufactured by Novoflex. It is mounted on two tubes instead of a thick rail like the one above, and looks more traditional, but it has a link with the camera's auto aperture mechanism irrespective of the bellows' extension. Really convenient and much less hassle. _________________
