Hi all,

Just picked up one of those cheap CCTV lenses and C-mount adapter for the NEX. Has anyone tried these on the A7? My goodness, what great fun this lens is for $25 US!

I got mine from rainbowimaging on Ebay Click here to see on Ebay.

Here are a few pics from today - when I was in a pictorialist mood. Cool All shots were made wide open at f/1.7.

Did you crop that much? It seemed to have covered a large area. Smile

Lovely by the way Smile

Thanks, tromboads!

LOL. Small amount of cropping on the birdbath, other two uncropped. I didn't even have to add any vignette Laughing

I also used the c-mount adapter to try out an old Taylor-Hobson Cooke from a moldy old B&H Filmo - that one could probably use some cropping! (BTW, the clam shell in the photo below can be seen in the photo of the birdbath in my first set!)

Those are great. The license plate pic is very nice! How much did the lens cost you?

It really is great for artistic fun, though it's build quality leaves a bit to be desired.

I love the artistic impact vignettes give. I'll have to pick one of these up!

Oh yeah, don't expect it to be as solid or smooth as anything like a Takumar, but it isn't falling apart either - most definitely serviceable!

Thanks, Igor,

I know it's pushing it, but almost a Petzval look.
