Hey all, came across this lens but I haven't been able to find any info on it except for a one liner in a post somewhere that it was the cheaper version of the200mm F4.5? I've learnt that sometimes if no info comes up it might be of some interest then.....can anyone shed some light on this?

Interesting, never seen one. In the easypix list it looks like it was released in '64. Is it a preset? The QE optical formula was also used in a few of the MC 100 3.5 macro rokkors, so it' probably a decent lens.

I think its a pre set, its on route to me at the moment but you can see from the sellers pic there are two rings for the aperture system. I can't even find any sold listings for it on the bay.

Congratulations! I did a quick search after your earlier post and I couldn't find anything about it either. I'm interested to see your results. Thecauto rokkors I have of the same vintage are excellent lenses with a really special look. Based on the dates in the easypix list, it wouldn't have been around long before replacement by an MC lens.
