Very happy that the lens arrived today, here are some quick and nasty images I took before the light disappeared behind the hill. I will take some images of the actual lens and camera tomorrow.
Another Yashinon 2/50 version can be found here YASHINON DX 2/50
#1 "Hmmm, there appears to be bokeh caught on that lavender behind me"

#2 "Ahhh, that's better its all around me"

#3

#4

#5 I tried OH,but couldn't do it as well as you!

I really appreciate the effect on the OOF areas with this lens, very different from a smooth minolta 50mm/2, I have a Yashinon Auto 50mm/2 and a yashinon DS 50mm/1.9 and they both give almost exact effect on the OOF areas.

Nice photos MO

Here is a link to the actual camera and lens http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic,p,1389224.html#1389224

Thanks for your comments,I only have one cat but I take many images of her Laughing I do like the oof areas and believe with a bit of practice and control this will be a fun lens to use. It seems sharp enough and I do like the colors it produces. It has plenty of fungus inside so will have to be cleaned eventually.

I was also suprised at how heavy this lens is and it's also very compact compared to my mamiya and pancolar 2/50s.I do like the little lever at the side, but thankfully it has a preset ring at the front so I can do it all manually Cool

Congratulations Mo.
It is a really nice lens and you have done it justice.
I am just home from ukulele - always on Monday nights here in the village and there are always a few bottles of red - so everything looks great at the moment. I'll have another look in the morning Very Happy
The lens does have that quality heft to it doesn't it - I really like the DX Yashinons.
Thanks for sharing
OH

That's a gorgeous set, Mo. I think you've got a little bokeh on your shirt there... (j/k) I agree the OOF elements are really nice with this lens.

Between the sets you and OH put up on this one, I think I'll just go watch the prices go up for these on eBay. Wink

Laughing I hope to possible grab a few more before the price goes up,not for any other reason than I like the feel/look of the lens and what it can do.

Do yourself a favor and stop posting such lovely shots until you buy them, or maybe start some threads with names like "Yashinon = Trashinon" MFlenses gets indexed more quickly on google than anything out there!

Seriously, great shots, and I agree, cute cat!

Colors, light and focal plane are really nice. My fave is still the bw #4 from the first set. Your cat looking all vintage. Smile

I really cannot imagine those photos are shot by cheap Yashica lens which quality is 'far behind' those ones manufactured by Canon and Nikon...(joke) Wink

Lol. We need to have publicly indexed threads that trash all Yashinons and Hexanons to keep the prices down.
