That's some bizarre bokeh! Good to hear that you managed to get the lens in a state where you can take images with it. Looks pretty sharp too...

I used a B35 for many a year, back in the day.

I sold mine in 2002 to of all places Japan!

I dunno about the lens. But you've got a serious problem with sensor dust/crud/whatever.

Great project! This should turn a simple NEX3 into a real compact cam! I still have a Canonet 28 lens around, planning on doing a similar NEX project, unfortunately i have a lack of time lately...... love your results, makes me want to pick my ideas up again!

My Rollei B35 is out of use because of unreliable film transport.
This looks promising for a new destination of its lens.
Thanks for sharing.

I don't believe in repair so I can use the spring from the camera.
And I still have a working B35 Led version of the camera.

Years ago I had a Rollei 35XF with a nice lens Sonnar 2.3/40mm, but the plastic transport gave up too.
Pity I didn't save the lens (5 elements 4 groups). Now searching on fleemarkets for a cheap one.
But that camera has a program shutter, may be not easy to get a working aperture after taking the lens off.
