Thanks to Eddieitman for finding this one for me. Very Happy I'm really looking foward to trying this version. It will be a nice addition to my Orange Rokkor X lenses.
I will post some test results after I get it.

It came today. Smile I couldn't wait to try it. This is my first attempt to try a lens this fast on my Canon EOS 10D. Handheld.
Image is resized and sharpened, but no other PP. Shot at 1/20s at ISO 400.Going to take some practice, before I'm happy, but not too bad for a first try.

Only if I find a very good price for it... I have a good replacement for this lens, a Rokkor 50/1.2 MD, that has a very similar rendering.

I'm still looking for a 50 1.2 cheap . Smile I know it's not likely to happen. Laughing

My 50 1.4 I paid USD $9.95 and that included the camera, but the camera needs repair. I think I got a pretty good deal. Smile

Picked up another one on the Bay for USD $3.24 + shipping. It's got fungus but otherwise it's pretty sweet.Just tried a quick pick at f1.4. Hopefully I will be able to test this lens and others soon. Kinda hard for me to use a camera until my shoulder/ neck heals.

f1.4

f1.4

f8

Instead of starting a new thread I thought I'd revive this old one.
I'm starting to use my 50 1.4 alot on my Nikon J1.
This is a shot from today. Oriental Trumpet Lilly.

Thanks. It's one of my favorite Minolta lenses. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

It's a wonderful lens, Walter. I too am using mine more and more. Mine is the version prior to yours - Rokkor without the X.

Nice shots Woodrim. I have a few Rokkors that are identical to the same lens labeled Rokkor-X for the North American market. Do you have one of those or one of the earlier 60s models?

PostPosted: Mon Jun 23, 2014 2:57 am    Post subject: Reply with quote

Mine was early '70s before they introduced the X.

Nice shots. I will probably buy that version too.
Can't have too many Rokkors.
