Adapters matter, too

While our principal focus (pun intended) is rightly on lenses, adapters matter, too. I've been fortunate in recent days to bring in four adapters which are not all that easy to locate at affordable price. For a total investment of US$28 I was able to buy three T4 (one might be a TX - don't know yet) adapters and one copy of a Tamron Adaptall 2 adapter. All four adapters are m42 on the other side. Pleased? Yup, I'm pretty pleased Smile:

I could use a great many more of these things, but the cost is most often just too high.

FYI: the Tamron Adaptall 2 you won is made for Fujica camera. You have to sand the protruding part down to use it on ordinary M42 camera or adapter.

Hey, thanks calvin83 for the heads up! Yup, I did notice that protrusion. A few passes with the old Dremel tool (grinder) should put it to rest for good!! Very Happy

I bid that adapter because it was less expensive than a new one I had bought earlier. That adapter (the one in the OP) is a genuine Tamron. The new one I bought for circa US$10 was not of Tamron manufacture and did not work as well (it did not fit all my Adaptall 2 lenses as effortlessly) as I had hoped it would. Figured it would be better to go with the "real deal", even if a bit of modification was necessary! Wink
