I like to know if anyone here has this lens and which is the maximum length of the hood before vignetting.
Lens filter diameter is 46mm and here is how this lens looks like.

BTW - I have purchased two sigma's 19mm and 30mm but only 19mm does have hood supplied with.

I think your best bet would be a 46>49mm step-up ring and a 49mm thread "standard" (for 40mm lenses and up) generic hood from Ebay.

Edit: any lens hood that accomodates a 60mm lens would fit. However, any hoods will probably be larger than the lens unless you buy one that is specifically designed for this lens.

How long is your Fotga hood? Thanks.

I was looking into this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/190762825086?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

I'd lean on the safe side and get something no more than 2-3cm long but I'm basing this on my experience with OEM hoods for standard (50ish) primes.

Funny you mention the 30mm not having a hood. Sigma got lazy with their "A" series release and bundled them all (19/30/60) with the same lens hood (as the 19mm)

I purchased this one but don't have clue how long it is... Let see when arrives.

Yes the new "art" series but I did purchased the older versions 19 and 30mm for amazing price at local retailer 129.99$ each. I guess they wanted to liquidate stock of old version sigmas. Funny things is that I do like more older versions then new ones also on the web was reported that new ones are magnet for finger prints and somewhere I read that fro some reason the older versions are sharper but they should have the same optics. Strange!

P.S. the same retailer have "open box" same lenses for even less - 117$!

Good luck with the nikon hood! Looks a little long but then again, you are looking at 70mm equiv. using the sigma 30 on your Oly.

Thanks! I did choose Nikon hood while it get wider after half of the length to avoid vignetting if it is too long.

I got the hood today and checked right away for vignetting and cannot see one. The hood is long and for sure will not have a flare or anything similar, even too long for my taste but I have it and I am quite happy with it.

Just wanted to update for other users who have the same lens (using on m4/3) that this lens hood is perfectly usable.

The hood is 5cm long or 2 inches +/- few millimeters. Smile

This hood is also fine with the 30mm on a NEX5N, no vignetting. I found one recently new and boxed for £1. Smile
