OK, it's more like a quartet - but that title doesn't have the same ring to it.
Here are four Tokinas dressed up in Vivitar (3) and Soligor guises.
Respectively they are 105/2.8, 135/2.8, 200/3.5 and 4.5/250mm
Not surprisingly they all render very similarly.
I have listed the images from the 105mm before and they were a delightful surprise to me.
Here are the lenses in question.

and here are a mix of images from them

All shot at open aperture I think
Quite chuffed am I ........

#1 is really nice. How the flower stands out from the background Wink
Looks like sharp and contrasty samples

Thank you for the kind words.
Not every image is a work of art for sure.
I took these to show off the IQ of these lenses, which is fairly good I think - they have surprised me.
I started with a 105/2.8 and since it was so good, I started looking for other similar Tokinas.
They were all quite cheap lenses, and to me represent excellent value.
Here are a few more images.
They show very little artistic or compositional virtues, but reflect how good these lenses are:

and fair enough too. Who doesn't like an underdog.

If they give you results like above, well there isn't much to not like really. They look more contrasty then some of the Takumars I've used.

I detect another T4 fanatic in the making!

Haha - not a fanatic, but I like these examples of the Tokina T4's - the telephotos are fairly simple lens designs.
I would be hesitant about the wide angle T4's as I think that they - being a more complex design - might be showing their age against later wide angle lenses from the same manufacturer. Could be wrong though.

I own the 200/3.5 and find that it's a very, very good performer. In time I started using my Vivitar (Kiron) 75-205/3.8 instead because of the flexibility that a zoom gives you, but regardless I think the 200/3.5 outperforms the Vivitar at 200mm in terms of sharpness, bokeh, etc.

Yes, that is probably not surprising.
The prime lenses contemporary with the zooms of the time would have had better IQ, even from the same manufacturer.
I am glad that you enjoy your lenses as I do.
Cheers
