This is a big heavy lens with a lot of glass -- don't drop it! It's great for isolating subjects from busy backgrounds, nice for portrait work. Or the occasional art project.

I love the one with the guy and the lily pads. This lens NEVER disappoints!

I shot Nikon before I went to medium format, and subsequently sold my Nikon stuff and bought a Pentax MX system because of its lightness and compactness.

When I was shooting Nikon, the two lenses I always had on the pair of F3s was this 85mm f1.4, and its stablemate the 35mm f1.4. I don't think I ever owned two sharper lenses.

Your photos are excellent, but that one of the guy in the lily pads is a blockbuster. Unique and incredibly sharp. Great stuff!
