Just how good is the 40d in live view focusing with legacy M42 lens'?

When I had the 40D I never used LiveView.
OK, that doesn't mean anything, really. Wink

A split-prism focusing screen is the only good solution for most digitals, IMHO. Live view in briiiiight sun? Good luck. Live view with a little bit of shake? Ehhhh...

I used to own the 40D for a long time and always used the viewfinder, not liveview. I never had any problems with it. And it's digital, so if you don't nail focus, you can always take another shot, right?
