I recently got a CZ triotar 135mm with a praktina mount. Can this lens be adapted to canon eos or Sony?
Thanks

There was a member making these back in 2009 but hasnt been seen much since. There is a FFD difference if 14mm so there is plenty to work with. Obviously there are two ways to do this, make an adapter using a Praktina body mount or short extension tube, or replace the mount on the lens.

Neither is too much problem if you are mechanically minded. I don't believe they are available commercially, what you will find are usually one-offs like the Altix adapter using parts from dead cameras.

The Pancolar 50 F2 in Praktina mount looks beautiful ! I wish there was an easier way to adapt these lenses !

If you want adapt a praktina lens really simply do it that way...for me it works.

Take a simple T2 to EOS adaptor, replace the 3 screws which are holding the inner ring (mostly locked with a 3mm hexagonal type) with longer than the normal ones and take a small shim to adjust infinity. With the adaptor-type i did use, the back of the lens fits perfect into the inner diameter without the need of centering.

Looks like that...

Without an adjust - shim you will have infinity point at about 10 meters... so you can focus a little behind infinity

Cheers
Henry

Thats an interesting mount the scres just hold the bayonet in place. I think one of those needn't be turned on a lathe it could be made another way.
