Conclusion: Canon wins, with Nikkor in second, but all of them are good performers IMO and produce nice pictures in most situations.
Shot with A7R, ISO 50, Dim light, 100%. The Nikkor cost 2x more than the Canon and 4x more the Jupiter 12
The Jupiter 12 have some Color shift on A7R, Nikkor has just a tad, and the Canon look very nice. I am planing to test corner performance later stopped down.

Yes, I found out approx. 1.8mm clearance, so pretty close

I'm not a big fan of test charts like this, but I learn something on the way that can be important to know when choosing lens for different situations later.

Jupiter 12 won't work on NEX-3 (or 5, 6 and 7).. the distance isn't the problem, the huge back of the lens won't fit between the sensor frame (which you haven't on FF A7x).
