What would be the result of a cheap vintage lens (US$16.5) on a budget mirrorless camera (US$290)? Take a look! I think it's acceptable. What's your view?

Tokina I believe. Most of the "Auto Vivitar" lenses are.
Alternately Komine in some cases.
Either is a well known good lens. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

Yes, it is Tokina. I have done some research on the internet and all relevant pages say T4-mount Auto Vivitar 105/2.8 are made by Tokina. |

I would say exceptional for the price, and worth much more than you have paid.

Vivitar 105mm is regarded highly. The Sony 3000, while bargain priced, has an excellent, and even larger sensor than the NEX-5. The compromises with this camera are feature and display. The only thing that kept me from considering it was lower resolution LCD and viewfinder. I was concerned about focusing. _________________ Regards,

I struggled a bit on exactly the same consideration before I bought it. Now, I am sure focusing is not a problem at all. |
