I think it's the same or similar to sensia. I much prefer the natural tones of Astia and sensia. They're also much easier to scan than velvia. It's a shame Fuji don't make them anymore

The snowy pictures are Chicago late at night near 18th Street in the middle of a freezing, blowing snowstorm. Shot on a tripod with a cable trigger for somewhere around 30 seconds each.
The car, tunnel and soda crates are all from a small town in North Carolina, and the pianos are actually from this very bizarre abandoned reform school for boys in Concord, North Carolina. A very strange place. I have some more photos from there that I'm still working on, but 35mm, for the most part.
And for those unfamiliar, Astia is a discontinued slide film from Fuji. It is one of the few slide films that is less saturated and more subdued. It's a lovely film to work with, and it's a shame that they no longer make it. |
