Can I trigger a Pocket Wizard with a Spotmatic F?

This is probably a dumb noob question, but I recently just purchased my first film camera (a Pentax Spotmatic SP) for a class at school and I may have caught the film bug!

I know the SP only has a cold shoe so I'm not going to have much luck using any accessories with it, but if I were to purchase a Spotmatic F is it possible to trigger a Pocket Wizard with it? I know there won't be any TTL or anything, but that's why we have light meters and stuff

Thank you! I'm not 100% certan what it does, that it certainly looks the part... so I guess I'll have to give it a go
