Bought this one described as "Lens for m4/3". It turned out to be a c-mount on c->m4/3 adapter. The top of the lens has been cut off, to turn it into a true pancake (total height is about 2cm). This also got rid of any ID's. Judging by FOV it's 25mm f1.9 lens. Aperture ring closely resembles Contax G in style. 5 bladed clickless aperture f1.9-f16, original MFD was 60cm, after modification it's about 30cm. Does anyone have any idea what it was?

Bingo! I already have a couple of 1.9/25mm Cosmicars, but they are different style:
The optics is probably the same though, as both have deeply recessed front element. _________________ Many lenses and some film bodies for sale here: http://forum.mflenses.com/canon-fd-minolta-md-c-mounts-m42-pentax-and-more-t50465.html

Not completely. There is a very slight vignette on m4/3 sensor, slightly larger one on NEX. I'll snap a sample picture on NEX to show the coverage. _________________ Many lenses and some film bodies for sale here: http://forum.mflenses.com/canon-fd-minolta-md-c-mounts-m42-pentax-and-more-t50465.html

To me the pictures that dimitrigo linked to are very convincing, especially coupled with matching speed and FL and very deeply recessed front element (similar to many 50mm macros). Personally, I have no doubts now that it's Cosmicar 1.9/25mm.
Here are some sample pictures on NEX and EPL-1. First NEX:
#1 Wide open or close to it
#2 NEX, uncropped.
#3 Crop of the above
#4 NEX, uncropped
#5 Crop of the above
#6 NEX, uncropped
Now EPL-1 on a truly gloomy autumn day. The light was awful.
#7 EPL-1, uncropped. Vignette is almost nonexistent.
#8
#9 EPL-1, ISO 2000
Edit: re-uploaded the images lost in the server crash. _________________ Many lenses and some film bodies for sale here: http://forum.mflenses.com/canon-fd-minolta-md-c-mounts-m42-pentax-and-more-t50465.html

These days whenever I get my hands on NEX, it is immediately confiscated by the subject of this photo. So I keep this Cosmicar as a body cap, because it's light, cheap and has a recessed front element. Ohh yeah, and it can take pictures too ...
