Hi everybody,
Some days ago, I received this big quite rare lens, an MTO GOZ 100cm/10 from 1962.
Already adapted on the A7
It's aerial photo lens using specific material to avoid thermal shock ( usual mirror behave very bad because of very low temperature in sky, that why very few mirror lenses were used for aerial photo). Material is Citall-CO115 made by LZOS in the begin of 60's... German later made a similar material named Zerodur, still used in modern big mirror telescope (more than 4m diametr). It was used in TU-16 medium bomber.
GOZ doesn't stand for GOZ plant (renamed in 1929), but "Gosudarstvenniy Oboronniy Zakaz", which mean "Defense State Order". Even if no logo is visible on lens, it was certainly made by LZOS, before they started to make MTO-500 and MTO-1000 in 1965.
So, here are first test shots. It's quite hard to do an interesting photo with 1000mm lens, so it's purely "technical" photo. Without tripod...

Some more photos with this lens on A7. This time with better adapter (I can have infinity now). But still without any tripod.
