Part of the bunch I acquired today was this lovely camera. Grubby and forgotten in a shed. Cleaned up she's lovely. A few scratches here and there but all works. Just the lens cap missing.

Uses 620 film, when I was cleaning it I remembered the lens must be unscrewed to use it. Fabulous.

Wikipedia says she was made in Paris between 1938 and 1946. Interesting. Were any made during the war? or just the 2 years preceding it and after it?

Very nice, it reminds me a bit of the Purma Special.

thanks guys. I have discovered Brasso is a great product for cleaning bakelite. I often use it to polish my horn.

Horn handles on walking sticks I mean. It gets rid of the small surface scratches.

For those that dont know, Brasso is a metal polish soaked into cotton wadding, you use the wadding directly from the container. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brasso

Wasn't there a song about Brasso? Possibly a rude one?

Every house seemed to have a tin of Brasso back in the 70's.

I always loved the smell of it. Very Happy
