According to the serial number it was made in 1958. All the serials must be like the russians. Very Happy

I don't know when was exactly the cm/mm switch . Perhaps earlier, perhaps not. 1958 was 13 yrs after war , I believe many Germans and Hungarians who is captured never returned.

At least in my country a very few people came to home from Russia and lot more came to home from Germany.

I am envious too! At least I have the black version... Rolling Eyes

But your metallic version... with cyrillic signs... hmmmph... Embarassed

The black one fits better to my black SD9... and it reminds of "Minox 35GT"-design... Wink

But the price (1 Euro)... Shocked Where did you find it?

Believe it or not: in "the bay".
Shipping is 3,90 € - so that's € 4,90 all inclusive. Wink

I believe you. A few weeks ago I found my "Mamiya Sekor 50/2.0" the same way.

That´s fine. I know this feeling of being fully satisfied after such an occasion.

By the way: where are the famous "first shots" with it?

I did some recherche and read, that the camera for your lens ("Zenit-C") would have an M39 (exactly "ZM39") mount.
Is this correct?

http://www.g-st.ch/privat/kameras/zenit.html

According to a list there, the M42-mount appears about 1965 with the "Zenit-E" and the "Zenit-B".

P.S.: who wants to acquire a "black-version" for 30 Euro - Click here to see on Ebay

Carsten,

You are the bargain-finder, I still don't know how you do it. Very Happy

The Industar is a stellar performer, but I find it a bit unconfortable to use. Is it your first one?

Thanks. It's plain luck!

Nope, it's my second one. My first one is the common black version.

To be honest, I don't know. But I don't care for this price. I've got an M39-M42-ring. Wink

That´s the same with me. When I purchased my "Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 50/2.8" by auction, I wanted to share my happiness at once in the "MFlenses"-forum. And waiting enforces this delight too.

By the way: I saw "your" alu-industar tis evening for "buy at once" in EBay with a Zenit-C for about 70 Euro.

Well done Carsten, 1€ WOW, the big spender did it again! Very Happy

The Industar is exactly the same lens I used to have on my old Zenit-3M back in the 60s. Yes it is definitely M39, the later M42 versions are Industar 50-2. I've been making quick scans of lots of slides I took with the Zenit back then and I'm really impressed with how good some of them were with such simple and cheap gear. I know you're going to be pleased with yours.

Kodachrome II slide dated September 1967

The Albinar 2.8/28 SC (for Canon FT) has arrived today. That was very fast.
It is really like new.
But I will need some time to test it (I have to do it with my FTb QL on film.)
