If you've got a Q, or maybe a Micro 4/3 ? and fancy some lens hacking, maybe this will be of interest ?

Today while sorting out all the crap at the charity shop I found this, which was junk in every respect and was going in the bin. But I carried it home.

I thought the lens might be useful ?

And now it looks like this.

There is a bit of fungus, but I'm sure it will clean off. I've cleaned worse and found no etching on the glass.

But it is no good for the NEX, I tried a bit of freelensing and there's no chance of it working.
As far as I can tell the lens should have the the same register / image circle as a D mount lens - 7.5 mm with a 7.043 image circle, or maybe given the age it's known as the old 1/2 inch register ?
I have no idea what the lens would equate to on a Q or 4/3, but 7.5 - 60mm / f1.7 sounds impressive!

It's free to a good home, maybe something for postage would be good and I'll donate that to the local Hospice charity where it came from.
It's one of those things that might just surprise us, and I'd really love to see if it will work.

I shot part of my first music video with that camera (and ektachrome film) back at school: I didn't want to shoot digital, but I had no money for other than super8. It was incredibly funny.
