I just got myself a nice Mamiya lens and would love to use it on the 5D.

Does anyone have a source for cheap adapter? The only one I found goes for ~$45+ each.

Thanks a lot.

The price of most adapter on eBay is quiet cheap. Sometime you will found they are even cheaper than those you found in China.

I grabbed an ebay ~$40 USD adapter. I'm used to m42 adapter price being dirt cheap that I had to get my mind over the $40 price-tag Razz

I made mine from a peanut butter cap, M42-EOS adapter and pvc pipe as spacer and makes the cap stronger. I cut the cap cover to match the bayonet flange of the lens and found a pvc pipe that fits inside the cap. Cut the pvc to size which I can't remember the exact length but around 8-12mm and trimmed the cap to match it. Glued both cap and PVC then glued assembly to m42 adapter.

If interested to do this route PM me. Why I do DIY? If its easy and cheap like this one - Yes. If I liked the lens and plan to buy more than two, I might get just one real adapter and swap between these lenses.

I beleive you'd love this lens and end up buying the 50, 80 and 120mm.

The cheapest I could find was for £25 when I got mine. I suppose the price hasn't changed.

I'm giving it for free for anyone who buys both my Mamiya Sekor C 45mm f2.8 and Mamiya Sekor C x2 teleconverter together.

Used on my 5D and gave great results.
