Carl Zeiss Distagon 2.8/35 for Rollei, need info on adapter

I just got from ebay a relatively cheap (something less than € 100) Carl Zeiss Distagon 2.8/35 for Rollei SL.
I have no experience with rollei mounts, I guess it's QBM and adapters for nex are available: if so, is there any particular care I should take in choosing the adaptor, or any of the cheap chinese ones (I'm happy with most of those for other mounts) will be ok?
Also, since it was a bit an impulsive bid, without the research I usually make before buying a lens, did I pay too much for it, or is that ok?

As usual with NEX any cheap Chinese can be good.

I tried a few different QBM/NEX adapters:

1. Kipon
most expensive, no flange (which is important if you have Voigtländer QBM lenses since those don't have a A/M switch), problems with reahing infinity.. sending it back.

2. Leinox
a bit cheaper but still more than the usual Chinese adapters. Infinity worked, but 4 of 6 objective were very loose.. sendig it back.

3. cheapest avaible chinese adapter (Click here to see on Ebay)
no problems at all.. even the novoflex tripod mount fits.. still have it

4. another cheap chinese adapter (Click here to see on Ebay)
also no problems, the novoflex tripod mount fits too and it feels a bit more solid.. my favorite


sometimes the cheaper adapters are the better one.

I ordered the "Big-Is" labeled one, I already have some of their adapters both for nex and sony alpha and all worked fine so far.

I think less than 100 Euro was a really good deal.. the Distagon 2.8/35 is a pretty good lens.. I guess you will like it a lot. Now look for a 1.8/50 Planar (or Color Ultron).. Very Happy

I'm really intrigued by zeiss lenses for Rollei at the moment: I guess it is because the rollei distagon 35/1.4 is THE lens I dream of but cannot afford right now.
The color ultron was on my to-get list for a while but I never find one cheap enough for my taste, and was quickly removed after the last count of 50's I own: if I get one I'd probably never find the time use it.
OTOH, I'm having some troubles in finding a 35mm that fully satisfies me. At the moment I use especially the meyer primagon - amazing but a bit slow for all-round use - and the mir-24 which is fast enough for my needs and produces beautiful colors, but I'd like it to be a tad sharper sometimes, especially at infinity (I like to use 35mm to shoot stitched panoramas). So I hope this distagon will be pretty sharp at infinity, with very low distortion.

I have a couple of the adapters from weakpotoman and no problems at all. The only adapter I have had that was not up to scratch was one from big_is, yet I swear by his. He did actually send a perfect replacement so I suspect a dodgy batch.

In my experience (i've had stuff made over there) the Chinese sometimes see a specification as a guideline.

Have you considered the zeiss Jena 35 f2.4?

It's quite easily available...
I had 2diff versions of the Rollie 35 f2.8 years ago. The earliest ones were German, and hard to find. Subsequent ones were Singapore made.
The last ones were badged voigtlander and Japanese.

None of them were particularly special I recall.

I had the flektogon 35/2.4, and it was a really good all-rounder: in my opinion though, sharpness at infinity was its weak point.
This, together with the profit I could make, made me decide to sell it.
I know it could be an issue of my particular sample, but I haven't found another cheap enough since then.
