Being a bit of a thicko, how can I find out the shutter count on my Canon D30, Canon 30D and Samsung NX100?
TIA

Look at the image name i.e. DSC10221 would indicate it is image no 10,221 whether or not a photo is taken the shutter has tripped this many times. I don't know if the counter can be re-set. If so than that could bugger things up a bit.

You take an image with your digital camera, upload it to the site and it will tell you your precise shutter count. It works like a champ!

There is a utility program for some not all Canon dSLRs which gets the actual shutter count from the camera hardware, not from an image or by looking at the file name, both of which may have been reset or rolled over... http://www.eoscount.com/

Shutter count of some models such as 5D can be obtained only by sending camera to Canon Service Center.

google Astrojargon/ eos info and you should get the software to get your canon 30 shutter count.
