I was under the impression that OM2n's were fitted with flash shoe 4? Mine will only take flash shoe 2. how come?

Could be because it's just an OM2 without the "n" Question

Could be I suppose but is has the square "n" badge and have motor drive contacts on the bottom plate

My OM2N takes shoe 4. That said, one of the two I've owned, one of my two shoes 4 did not seat as well as the other. It could be differences in the shoe's production?
