First time trying this film, I bought a brick of 20 like a few others did. It's not bad, sharp, grain is okay, but colours are a bit off, probably due to age and condition. Overall, I prefer Fujicolor 200, my usual staple C41 film.

The lens is excellent, and very pleasant to use. Just a shame it wasn't a bit wider, then it would be the ideal walkaround lens. The MFD could be a bit better too, but you can't have everything and it was very cheap.

yes, muted colors, this is my experience too, little retro look not harm, well done!

You should have waited for the 1-2 days out of the year when you have sunshine for the KG100, Ian. Laughing Nice results, muted or otherwise. Horses still have their winter coats or are they this shaggy?

I have come to love my Minolta AF lenses for the reasons you mention Ian. I also bought a brick of the Gold 100 and the results weren't consistent from film to film, the best coming from a roll I shot with the OM10 and Zuiko lenses. I find that the Minoltas give great results with Fuji (and Agfa Vista).

Good shots.

If I waited for the sunshine Bill then I'd be old and gray! lol

Sadly these horses are not looked after much so have just grown shaggy like that. They seem healthy enough though.

I've got a second roll of this KG100 to scan, I used my Tokina 20-35mm for that roll, the light was considerably better that day so the results should be better.

I also have a roll of Agfa Vista Plus (Fuji) to scan, that was also shot with this Minolta AF 35-105 and I also need to dev and scan some rolls of Fomapan 100 shot with the Tokina 20-35 and Minolta 35-105.

I also have the Minolta AF 3.4-4.5/28-85 which I like a lot as well, as I like wide angle shooting, I find it a little more useful than the 35-105 but the pairing of Tokina 20-35 and Minolta 35-105 is hard to beat.

I also have the 4/35-70 and 4/70-210 from this first 'beercan' generation, I'm trying to collect the best of the Minolta AF lenses as and when I can find them cheap, with the eventual goal of using them with a Sony SLT or SLR camera, and secondhand a850 FF SLRs are only 600-700ukp now.
