Mikar 55mm/4.5 red P

Today, I tested this tiny enlarger lens. I'm not good at saying if lens is sharp or not, but I think this one is really sharp.

I used an Helicoïde M42 adapter to reach infinity.

First a all, little photo of the lens :



And some shots, straight from the Nex-3 (sorry, images are not really artistic...but the place was not very inspirating for me). I let you judge about IQ :

Capable performer indeed, even if unknown. I bough Henry's VNEX system to try many enlarger lenses , they are excellent usually and go for little money, nice to have them and play. Did you make research about this lens ? Who made it and when ?

These ones are pretty versatile and cheap (~25€).

For lenses longer than ~50mm you need tubes.

With these you can use enlarger lenses up to around 100mm

Lens is very much better than the Russian processing lens. This one is comparable with big names like Rodagon, El-Nikkor etc.
