Hi,
do I need an adapter to mount say the Konica Hexanon AR 135mm F 3.2 on a full frame Nikon DSLR camera (D800, D600)?
I think I have read the two mounts are very similar. Is focus at infinity anyway preserved?

Thanks.

it won't work... the Konica AR flange focal distance is 40,50mm.. Nikon has 46,50mm.

The Konica 3.2/135mm is an excellent lens, even wide open - but due to the small flange distance the Konica SLR lenses can't be adapted to any of the popular DSLR mounts (not even Canon EF). A possible solution would be the Sony A7 series. I myself use the A7II; its in-body stabilizer can be adjusted manually to any focal length - VERY useful for these high performance lens/body combination.

I did try Konica on Nikon body working distance is very limited, only for close ups, buy a second hand mirror less to play with other lenses than Nikon.
Nikon is most incompatible camera from all due long register distance.
