I was given a 100ft tin of some Fuji Superia 'Surveicolor 400'
dated 2003 so I rated it at 200 ASA -- took out my 1966 Carl Zeiss Werramatic but a lot of negs were very thin -- I show a couple worth scanning with my old Epson 1650 flatbed, Vuescan Pro and PhotoShop 7

Ambulances in Brentwood High Street -- maybe Crews were shopping in Iceland -- !!

Never heard of this film but it looks capable. Glad to hear of another Werra user, I love mine but sadly it needs the RF aligned. The Cardinar 4/100 lens is a real stunner, if you don't have it keep an eye out for one.

Good colour. Did you have it processed in a high street lab or DIY?

may be worth rating it at 100 ASA. It has deteriorated fast.

Any idea what it was originally used for? Speed cameras perhaps judging by the name.

I processed it myself in well-used C41 and gave it 4 mins instead of 3mins 15 secs but a lot of negs were still thin -- I metered with a Weston Master III which I had repaired -- the Werra meter seem not to be accurate -- I HAD taken some on same film last year on my 1960's Asahi Pentax SV and THEY came out well at 200 ASA - I think the C41 dev was too 'worn' !!
Also, I cut off a LOT off the Ambulances because the Werramatic viewfinder frames are difficult to understand - I found a manual on the Butkus site and can see the 50mm Tessar frame -- there are also some 'broken' lines which are the 'Parallax' lines which make things a bit confusing !! Still- Camera and Film were both FREE!

Thanks for the info. I have the same camera bought erroneously for my 1957 collection. I've never put a film through it. Perhaps I'll try.

I've never used C41 at home, only Agfa and E6. To be honest, I've looked and its cheaper to go to ADSA rather buy the chemicals, and the quality is always good. Not that price is a factor but the CBA factor over rides everything.

CBA = Can't Be Arsed.

Thanks -- never heard of that 'CBA' and I thought 'LOL' was something to do with Ice Lollies until my 'Techno-Kids'explained !
You are LUCKY to have an ASDA which processes film -- here in Romford or Basilddon our ASDA's no longer do processing .
