I know c-mount isn't as popular anymore, but it's still fun for me to play around with these.
I've had this lens for a while, but decided to "fix" it and make it focus properly.





I removed about 8 mm from the rear collar. the helicoid was damaged and didn't want to screw back on, so I ground down most of that too. Center is quite nice as expected. Edges lose detail. Lovely swirly bokeh for out of focus lights. I don't recommend this unless you can accept a loss - if it sticks on the helicoid it's a PITA.

Went from focusing up to half a meter, to half a meter near focus - good enough. Here's a couple samples Smile

50mm f1.3 next. Thinking I'll be breaking out the grinder here too. Half the fun is in modifying equipment Very Happy
