Hi,

anybody know which grease is good and where to get it in Europe?

Need to take my Tessar apart, and need new grease Smile

Regards

Normal car grease is fine. It works in cold and heat. never dries out and will last for decades. Thats all the factory would have used. Helicals are pretty unsophisticated bits of engineering really and dont need anythingfancy - except for some of the rare Russian lenses which allegedly used bear fat or whale oil as lubricants. Ha lubricants, someone here calls it glue.

It's glue in my Tair 300 ! I agree about the grease, a general purpose automotive or bicycle hub grease is fine.
