hi,
i recently found 2 kern switar lenses.
The
-macro-switar 1:1.4 f=36mm h8rx
-macro-switar 1:1.3 f=12.5mm h8rx
i find the results of these lenses (even wide open) really good.
But is there any camera system that would make infinity possible ?
f=1.4

The 8mm BOLEX camera they were designed for of course
But I guess that was not what you wanted to hear...
As they are lenses made for 8mm film cameras, I could
image using them on a Nikon V1 or Pentax Q7 as both
have a very small sensor. _________________ Klaus - Admin

The Bolex 2x8 mounts yes, but the reflex variety.
The RX- labelled optics had a slighly diffferent construction in order to compensate for the light-dividing prism in front of the film, rather like some telephotos designed to take a glass filter at the rear which depend on having a clear glass if no coloured filter is in place.

Hi,
Ty for the response, I did forgot to explain i am looking for a digital system that has a short enough register distance to support focus to infinity.
Some more (macro) shots, shot whit the 36mm (covers almost full 3/4 sensor).

No idea about price. Good glass always commands high prices.
I re-read my post above and have to correct it. The prism in the Rx bodies introduce a different optical path, so that the Rx glass designed for this cannot be used giving peak performance withouth such a path.
My comments on filters however, were aimed at the catadioptric optics designed for these, sthis does not apply to the Switars, so please disregard.

The Nikon sensor is closer to Super 16... I would love to try these lenses out, personally... |
