possibly I caught the eyebrows better than the eyes, nevertheless it sits well imo, I like the twisted mouth to be well in focus
Tony so far I am quite impressed by this lens, gratefully, after all there are excellent f1.4/58mm lenses that much more readily available at a fraction of the price.

Yep. Very nice. How do you focus in this situation? Focus peaking?

Like usual I used the viewfinder and image magnification, took a few, most trying to get a good focus when he was holding still.
For focus peaking to have played a role here this photo was taken too instantaneously I think, this was more luck than anything else.

Focus peaking, for being more precise for low dof., I usually keep set to 'low'. In this situation, lightning, contrast I am not sure if it would have shown up at all or would have been visible, if he had been still and with some time possibly yes.
Btw. I regard the viewfinder to be very good for focusing, even without these 2 aids.

thank you Klaus and David for looking and commenting!
yesterday night I browsed through a thread in another forum dedicated to portraits. Most had been set up photos with special lighting and glamorously made up ladies. Mine are taken 'on the street' and look very different, I wonder if I rather should call them "street head shots" or maybe "street portraits'?

thank you very much Nordentro!
It is rare and my most expensive lens, and it has not disappointed me, as much as I like the Pen-F 1.4/40, I like the 1.5/60 even more.
