Well it's always best to check things out before buying of course, but the obvious things to check for on lenses are:
fungus
scratches to the glass
haze on the glass elements or between them
large dust or particulate matter inside the lens and in the light path
correctly operating aperture blades
damage to the body including the lens mount and the filter threads
smoothness of focusing helicoid - feel for signs of grit in the threads as the lens is rotated
loose elements that may move or "jiggle" as you focus
and can you actually see the image coming into sharp focus through the viewfinder
That's about it I think

That's a decent kit, and best of all it's M42 screw thread. The MTL5 is a good camera but they can jam solid and if they do they are just about impossible to repair - a plastic gear inside breaks. But if that happens, you still have some nice lenses and people like me have many M42 camera bodies that we don't use, so a replacement body would be easy to find.
Buy it for the Flektogon, if the camera is good that's a bonus. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....
