Close.
Edixa was a SLR with the M42 mount. Schneider supplied lenses for it so you will find Schneider lenses with names like Edixa-Xenar on them. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Edixa was M42 and the register was the same.
It had one minor quirk though. The mount was a bit skewed vs normal M42 so the "top" of the lens would not be where one might expect. This could be a problem of using an Edixa mount lens on a normal M42 film camera, as the stop down pin would sometimes be in the wrong place. On digital with M42 adapter it will just look a little funny. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

The mount on normal Edixa SLRs is an M42 mount, as already pointed out, with the screw started about 10 degrees off from "normal" for M42, but the register is the same.
However, the Edixa-Rex cameras had a proprietary bayonet mount. |

Hmm, it looks wrong somehow. I suspect it's an M42 lens that has been machined to fit something else. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

That's not an edixa-rex bayonet either.
After looking around, I believe this is the Exakta Twin TL mount. Take a look at this and note the positions of the screw and diaphragm plunger:

I think you are right, its the Exakta Real - Twin TL mount.
I.e., the uncommon "western" Exakta.
This is not easy to adapt properly as its quite different from the original "Eastern" Exakta.
None of the usual Exakta - anything else adapters will work.
There is a rare "Eastern" Exakta to "Western" Exakta adapter that I have been looking for. But that is just for fitting the usual "Eastern" style lenses to the Real/Twin TL camera.
The reverse is not possible as the Western Exakta mount is larger in diameter than the Eastern.
In fact I have a Twin TL I have been fixing up (ugly cosmetics, but works well; I had to change the prism with a spare from a Ricoh TLS - they are both from Cosina !). It has a 55/1.4 lens with this mount of course. I will see if there is some easy way to put the lens on a PK or Nikon mount. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

The easiest conversion would be to find a broken Schacht from the same era and swap the M42 mount over. But given that this is only a Travenar and not particularly rare, you may as well just look for a good M42 version and sell this one to somebody with an Exakta Real/Twin TL. |

If you're going to change the mount the flange distance is irrelevant really. All you need to know is that the rear element will clear the mirror, and it will.
Although I will repeat that it will be much simpler to just find the M42 version and use an adapter. It's not an uncommon lens in M42. |

In my country all these lenses are very rare. No sale for now another tessar and West Germany and this interests me try. The mount changes I do, I have experience.

Almost all the lenses are very rare here.
The market is very small.
