The kids pointed out a moth on the outside pane of a window, it'd decided to sleep there for the day.
Shot through a window, so there's dust. I don't know if shooting thru the window worsened the CA in #2, or maybe the bellows at full extension was extra punishing on the lens.
The second one had the background badly blown out to get the exposure right on the actual moth. PP with my usual UFRAW+GIMP made horrible posterized halos around the CA'd antennae, so I tried a single exposure HDR and it seemed to cope better.
So apologies, there's no art or technical perfection here, but I love how magnification shows incredible details from even the humblest critter. I suggest you click images to see at 100%.
Bellows Takumar 100/4 on a sturdy tripod with focusing rail.
