Could be anything, I have one with 44mm thread.

I'd use the tape approach or wind a thin rope of epoxy putty into the thread on the lens and push it into a greased, spare m42 mount. Trim the surplus putty away. Then when it's about 90% set loosen it a little by 'unscrewing' it slightly from the m42. The putty will remain on the lens thread until you chip it off.

Its not a metric thread, its US style.
These were sold with a dedicated flange for the lens board, they were not meant to have interchangeable screw mounts. There was no standard thread.
If it fits with a little tape on M42 it is a good solution
