Another go at nighttime HDR, even though there was very little wind, the foliage moved a bit so it's quite soft in areas, but the overall image is nice I think. Three HDR frames stitched vertically. J-8 on NEX-3. Around f8, couldn't see the numbers in the dark so guessed.

Ian,
I like more the B&W version, the saturated yellows are too much to me. The first is also flare trough to trees, isn't it?

Sadly, the street light emits only orange light, it's a low pressure sodium lamp, so the colours are the result of that.
I added the flare in Photoshop as the light source looked a bit wierd and the flare hides it. The three little glowing orbs were also added by the flare plugin, I didn't bother to remove them. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I like both versions.....maybe next time you can take one where there is no lamp post to be seen. It would turn out as a "night sun", i think that might work well.

You re welcome, the post lamp in your pics is really "distracting", i guess a lamp on a wall would do or one that has the post covered by vegetation. |
