I have a IIc, which is basically the same camera, just without the meter. I love mine.

I was excited when I found one just like it in Poland recently. The guy wanted about £40 for it. I considered it then took it out of the case and opened it. No lens. Gutted.

Phil, if all it's missing is the lens, there's hope. Ebay usually has a good variety of the various Retina lenses. The rangefinder Retina lenses just interchange the front elements. So that means that your "gutted" example should still have the rear element and the shutter.

Attila..A beautiful piece of "machinery" & your images of it are superb.
It looks unused...D'you reckon it's ever been used?
Cheers, Pickles.

No shutter or anything just a deflated dusty bellows under the 'flap'. The outside looked as clean as a whistle and the case looked new.

I have exactly the same camera and 35mm and 80mm attachments/converters too.
But mine is not that clean like Attila's.

That is the later IIIc, with the "1-zone" meter. Mine is the earlier one, has a hi/lo cover for the meter. The 50/2 Xenon is first-rate, as good as the collapsible Summicron.

I have one of these too (just had it out of thr cupboard to get ready to use tomorrow - what a coincidence). As someone mentioned that Xenar is a great lens. I didn't know that you could interchange the front elements on this model - I thought it was just the later IIIS and the earlier Retina Reflexes.
So have you used it?
