OK, a humble little Sears 50mm f2.0 in PK mount.
Everyone loves to think that there might be a Tomioka lurking somewhere, but I am sure that this is not one of those times.
My question is, can anyone identify the maker of this little gem.
Thanks in advance.
OH

Ricoh supplied cameras to Sears, and this lens is available with the Rikenon branding... although that doesn't mean Ricoh made it. A lot of Rikenon lenses seem to have been rebrands themselves.

Thanks for that, I was aware of the Ricoh connection and also the possibility of different contributing manufacturers.
I was hoping that the pictures of the lens might give some clue to the manufacturer.
Cheers

Some googling suggests it is probably home grown Ricoh. Seems to have a very good reputation too.

Thanks for the input Mos.
I couldn't find much - my googling skills let me down sometimes.
Here are a couple of pics. Nice and sharp with an interesting bokeh.
First picture has already been cropped so the second at 1:1 looks too big, but it is a 100% crop.

A long time ago, in one forum death today, i have read that the PK mount rikenon 2/50 "N"ones was the lens most similar in rendering to the summ 2/50 M.

Who can knows?

The out of focus highlights in the background intrigue me.
