Just got this lens and did a quick test indoors on a D7000 and D800. I am not very impressed by its quality, but I'll do more work with it later and post shots. Anyone familiar enough with the quality of this lens?

i have had some toyo optics lenses and i have been pleased with the results.

You should post photo of the lens. Quick search finds Toyo 28mm made by SUN, Ozone and even Makinon.

Here are two most possible manufacturers: Ozone Optical or Tokina (RMC or EL). I cannot say for sure.
