Hi,

A friend of mine bought it for me a few years ago. It has a not very common M40 thread mount for early PraKtiflex cameras. I'd like to know if it is a very rare lens? It looks uncoated and with a s/n of 2785045. Does anyone hapeen to know how many of these were made?

Thanks for your input,

Cheers,

Zhang

even from normal lenses made only few thousands for Praktiflex, yes very , very rare I never seen any, keep it in big respect , even if actual market value is low.

It seems the lens with a M40 mount is a rare bird. I haven't seen one with this mount on the web or at the Bay.

Can you show me more pictures from rear ? I'd like to be sure not converted lens.

Lens can be Contax lens converted to Praktiflex and genuine both.

Lens made in 1941, do you see any sign of DIY conversion ?

Camera launched in 1939.

A praktiflex with the Tessar 3.5/50 went unsold on ebay uk last week, I nearly bid on it, he only wanted five quid for it and other fiver for postage. I demured in order to wait for a Contax RF version of the Tessar 3.5/50 to come along. Maybe I should have grabbed the Praktiflex, now I think abou it. Oh well....
