I do have 50mm Hexanon AR lenses and was impressed by the quality of them.

Please post models and approximately which is the fair price to pay for those.

Sample pictures are always welcome!

Just one thing! Please do not come with... 60mm 1.2 is the best! Shocked Rolling Eyes Confused

Have you considered the 1.2/60mm?

Only joking, but it is a beautiful looking lens! Mr. Green

Seriously though, I don't think you would be disappointed with any Hexanon AR lens. Smile

All Hexanons are good, some better than others, but I doubt you will be disappointed with any of them.

My personal favourites from among those that can be found at good prices:

1.4/57 - one of the very finest 1.4 lenses imho
1.7/50 - one of the very best 50s imho
3.5/28 EE - the first version with 7 elements, superb, probably only a Distagon or Biogon would be a worthwhile upgrade from this, imho
2.8/24 - wonderful lens, has everything you could want, sharpness, contrast, flare resistance, 3d pop, I love it
4/21 - one of my very favourite lenses, not cheap but well worth the price imho
3.2/135 - probably the best Konica 135mm, and one of the best from any maker imho
3.5/200 - another truly superb lens, has everything, including a nice amount of 3D pop, I wouldn't swap it for a 2.8/180 Sonnar
4/70-150 - an excellent zoom, very sharp, comparable to a good prime, makes a very good alternative to a 135 prime. Better than the 65-135 that replaced it, imho

That's just the ones I like most, there are no sub-par Hexanons, even the budget Hexars are very good, all the zooms are good, better than most others I've tried, I honestly can't think of any Hexanons to avoid.

Thank you for advice!

1.4/57 - one of the very finest 1.4 lenses imho - I have AR 50mm 1.4 AE latest version NOS and I think that is good enough
1.7/50 - one of the very best 50s imho - I have this one too
3.5/28 EE - the first version with 7 elements, superb, probably only a Distagon or Biogon would be a worthwhile upgrade from this, imho - Which one? Preset 7/6 or 7/7 (f16)
2.8/24 - wonderful lens, has everything you could want, sharpness, contrast, flare resistance, 3d pop, I love it - Currently looking for it.
4/21 - one of my very favourite lenses, not cheap but well worth the price imho - This will be my last purchase.
3.2/135 - probably the best Konica 135mm, and one of the best from any maker imho - Currently looking for it. The best is I was having it in my hands and left it on the counter to take a look at another Konica lens and while I talked to staff there someone took it even it was 1 foot from my hand. I was furious while the cashier was having already this on the bill but it didn't complete the sale and it was in almost new condition (NOS refurbished with box). Some people are just evil Evil or Very Mad
3.5/200 - another truly superb lens, has everything, including a nice amount of 3D pop, I wouldn't swap it for a 2.8/180 Sonnar - Which model exactly? 1. Preset 5/5 ; 2. longer EE 5/4; 3. shorter EE/AE 5/4;

What about 35mm and 85mm?

I had 35mm 2.8 but focusing ring was slipping and I sold it mentioning that focusing ring is slipping but the buyer offered me double what I payed for (even I wanted to sell for 18$) however lens was like new. I guess he knows how to fix it. This lens was also excellent when I was able to focus properly.

85mm 1.8 - I am looking for it... But do not have clue how good it is. Any idea?

28mm 1.8 - also one I am eyeing it

The version of 3.5/28 I have is the first all-black EE, I think the optics of the preset, chrome band and all-black are the same, it is the later smaller version that has 5 elements, I have one of those, still very good but the earlier 7 elements version is better.

With the 3.5/200 I don't think it matters which version, I have had early EE chrome band and late rubber grip AE, both were stellar, Attila has had several versions, I think he will confirm they are all at the same level.

The 2.8/35 is a great lens, I have the all metal EE and the early F mount Konishiroku version. I think the 2.8/35 is one lens were the optical design didn't change.

I've never owned the 1.8/85, but judging by the samples from Attila, it's a great lens.

I also have the 1.4/50 AE like you and I agree, it is more than good enough, it is probably a technically better lens as it is more highly corrected, I slightly prefer the 1.4/57 because it has a bit more character at larger aperture settings, but it is purely a matter of taste and I really love the 1.4/50 too.

Hope that helps. Good luck with your search, I really can't think of any Hexanons that aren't worth having if the price is right.

If there is a specific Hexanon that you want to know more about, an I have it, I will take it out and make some samples for you if you let me know, but I will say this - there is a consistent level of quality with Konicas so if you are already familiar with some of them, then you only find more of the same as you add to your collection. I don't regret any of my Hexanon purchases and I have most of them.

Hey Ian, what do you think about this purchase:

Got this for... What do you think? Very Happy

I think it was a very wise purchase, well done, a good price and all the items are ones I love. The FC-1 is probably the best of the Konicas SLRs. That's the same version of the 3.5/200 I have, and I adore mine, it's also the same version of the 3.5/28 as I have, and that's possibly my most used lens, a real workhorse on my NEX that never lets me down. The 1.4/57 is another one I love, I had the same version with the silver ring. The X-24 flash is a nice compact but useful unit too.

Congratulations, I heartily approve of that acquisition!

Never mind, I've done similar before. Smile

You have the chance to compare, then I am sure you'll be able to sell one of them to someone else on this forum as that's the best version and one of the very best 28mms around imho.

Enjoy them, I'm sure you will! Smile

The excelent zoom has very high

I think I have almost all prime and many zooms too, Konica is usually step behind Zeiss just like other Japanese vendors Nikon, Canon, Minolta etc , step is little, I like them a lot, but have to say Contax T* is unbeatable.

For sure Attila.

But the contax T* lenses range, is a lot more expensive than konica's ones.

For that money I prefer Leica. My apo telyt 180/3,4 is not overpassed by any contax T* lens in the 180/200 range.

I love my Konica 50mm f1.4 and 40mm f1.8 pancake lens.
