Hi!
I found this T4/TX mount on a big, old and heavy Soligor 250/4.5 automatic-aperture T4/TX mount lens; pictures of the various sides of the mount below, followed by my questions:

#2
#3
#4
#5
Questions:
1. Is this a T4 or TX mount on the lens (and the adapter)?
2. What type of camera is this removable mount intended to mate with?
Cheers! _________________ --Glasslover

What they said! T4 mount for Miranda Automex/Sensorex. I don't believe there were Miranda mounts for the TX line though the Miranda T4 mount will work with TX lenses. The 250/4.5 T4 is relatively uncommon. _________________ In Search Of "R" Serial Soligors

To me it looks like an older T4 mount just because of the wording. _________________ Moira, Moderator

Just to pile on, yes T4 Miranda auto breechblock mount with external aperture linkage for Sensorex and Automex. I have a couple of these mounts.
I think this was the only T4 mount made for Miranda, even after Miranda abandoned the external arm.
One advantage of the T4 mount is the lens keeps its own click stops. Some of the proper Miranda brand Sensorex lenses have no click stops as they depend on the body mechanism and are problem to use on different bodies. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |
