Yes, this lens is awesome but very very heavy, that's the only default I can find from this lens .....

Did you may be changed the title on my post???

Lovely image, i assume both your daughter and yourself are very happy with the result. The DOF is perfect, i love the smooth background.

Thanks Poilu! I use the lens at 99% wide open but I must admit that it's a real challenge to get a “good” photo with perfect focus with so small dof ....
but I will take a look if I can find something "interesting" Wink .....

I´m envious about the results, not necessarily about the lens itself. Smile

It would be nice to see a comparison with, say, a 180 or 200 mm f/2.8 lens, in the same situation.

The 200/2 is incredibly difficoult to master but there really is no substitute. These lenses are made to be shot wide open which gives a very distinct look. There is a reason why these where so expensive, and still are.
