just made a - fast and dirty - test to compare ISO 1600 and ISO 3200 of NEX5N and Ricoh GXR M module
taken indoors at dim light, high ISO actually would be needed and with auto WB

table of 100% crops taken @ ISO 3200

first row taken with NEX5N
second row taken with Ricoh GXR M

pics to the left: taken as jpeg with in-camera noise reduction, set to 'standard' on NEX ( there is a second choice 'low' ) and 'auto' on GXR ( there are additional choices of 'weak', strong' and 'max.' )
pics in the middle: taken as RAW and converted to jpeg in LR without any editing
pics to the right: same RAWs with ( only PPing ) noise reduction and sharpening applied in LR

( this is a somewhat reduced size to make fit here, see full size here: http://www.ipernity.com/doc/119815/23601989/sizes/o

and the full photos @ISO 1600 and 3200 here: http://www.ipernity.com/doc/119815/album/453857

disclaimer Wink
This test was meant for myself but hoping that it is of use to someone I share it.
Please refrain from criticizing me for how I performed the test, however suggestions how to better / best perform such a test are most welcome
