From what I've read here and there, it is said that it's the less good of the japanese mirror lenses. But you've achieved very good results here. Nice catch of the Heron.

Yeah? Who says this? I've bet they've never owned one. The Sigma 600/8 routinely sells on eBay for quite a bit more than other aftermarket Japanese made mirrors. Here's a shot I took with my Sigma 600, followed by a 100% crop.

These are all slide film images, either Kodachrome 64 or Fujichrome 100.

I think Pancolart did a good job. Getting nice sharp photos with a long mirror like the Sigma
can be tricky.

Thank you. I was shooting duck before i found about ND filter usage. And it was 8x inside the lens thus it was nearly impossible to avoid shake Smile.
1/500s is quite recommended. Heron is without filter but sadly in counter-light.
