This is one of the best zooms I've tried, slightly less sharp at f4 than a good 135mm prime, but at f8, it's very sharp indeed. Contrast is always strong, distortion is very slight, just a very good lens (for a zoom) all-round imho. On the NEX it's not too big and heavy, pleasant to use too, and no zoom creep like a lot of cheaper zooms.

A 24-shot stitch and a few HDRs.

Well the Hexanon 70-150mm has to have something special as there are quite a few good 70-150mm zooms around...the ones I've used or own:- Vivitar, Kiron, Pentax and they are good.
Other ones I could have bought cheap but didn't are:- Zuiko, Nikon series e.

I think all good , 2x zoom only , piece of cake to any maker and this is slow too, even tamron non sp was excellent too.

I think they are all good too, I had a Soligor that was probably a Tamron and that was good, I also had a Kiron and that was good also. This Konica is a fair bit smaller than both of those others for some reason.

As Attila says, a 2x zoom of moderate speed is easy to make.

It's actually nice to see some photos from this lens. I have one, or two, and have never used them. They came along in some lot where the primes were the ones sought after. But I think, now, that I'll grab one and take it out. Thanks, Ian! Smile

You're welcome Aspen. I got my copy the same way, in a lot of Konica cameras and lenses.
